I saw this poster on adsoftheworld. A very powerful simple message.

It was printed with oil taken from the BP spill. You can catch a video here.

Dallas area theatres

Posted: September 22nd, 2010 | Author: | Filed under: Uncategorized | No Comments »

I love some of the old theaters that Dallas has. I live about a mile from the Lakewood Theater, a restored Art Deco movie theater built in East Dallas during the late ’30′s. It’s a beautiful theater to drive by every day, let alone catch a show there. Along the same style — and probably era — Dallas also has the Granada Theater and Inwood Theater. Both still very much active, the Granada as a premier music venue and the Inwood as one of the best place to catch an indie or foreign film. Inside the Inwood theater you’ll also find the very dark and hip Inwood Lounge. The perfect spot to meet the femme fatale of your very own film-noir. Very cool stuff.

Below are a series of prints I’ve illustrated of all these three theaters. Still to come are at least two more theaters: Casa Linda in East Dallas and The Texas Theater in Oakcliff. Soon to re-open once again.
